Press kit

Facts, descriptions you can quote and the logo files, for writing about Avoria and Plaug Studios. Avoria's screenshots are on the home page, and each one opens at full size.

Avoria in brief

Free to quote as is, or cut down:

Avoria is a top-down action roguelite from Plaug Studios. You're the last Warden of a kingdom with something enormous asleep under it, and the seals keeping it there are failing. Go down area by area, aim every shot yourself, beat the Oathbreakers who hold the seals and get through the boss door at the bottom. Coming to Steam for Windows.

The game is in development and has no release date yet. A trailer and a fuller press kit come with the Steam page. Until then, the screenshots on the home page come from a development build, and you can use them in coverage.

Logos

There's one P in every version. In the main logo it's the first letter of the name, with a single lit pixel in its bowl, and on its own it works as an icon. Use the files as they are: keep the pixel amber, and don't stretch, outline or recolour the letters. On light backgrounds use the files named on-light.

The studio in brief

Same deal for the studio:

Plaug Studios is Jonathon Wager, working on his own in Cambridge, Ontario. He's making Avoria, a top-down action roguelite for Steam, and has a few smaller projects out, among them the daily puzzle Beamzag.

Colours and type

  • Night #0E0E10
  • Paper #F1EEE6
  • Amber #FFA62B

The name is set in Unbounded SemiBold, which is under the SIL Open Font License. In the logo files the letters are outlines, so you don't need the font to use them.

The other projects

Beamzag has a press kit of its own, with screenshots, logos and print samples. Slideback, FrameDB, Formhaul and the Wager Extensions show their own screens, and the projects page has a line on each. If you need something that isn't there, email me.
